Lifting & Handling
A joint is only as safe as its weakest pin. bondura® expanding pins eliminate play at the source in cranes, A-frames and winches — built for the toughest conditions offshore and on site.
Precision in every lift
Lifting and handling equipment is subject to repeated load cycles, shock loads and strict safety requirements — especially at sea, offshore and at construction sites. Wear or clearance in pin connections can lead to reduced control, increased risk of falling objects and costly downtime.
bondura® expanding pins eliminate play at the source, with 360° wedge force and 180° load distribution that maintains joint geometry and extends service intervals significantly. Certified and approved for replacing existing pins.
A-frames
Offshore A-frames handle very heavy loads in demanding conditions — and when it is time for maintenance or mobilisation for a service job, conventional pin solutions slow the process down.
bondura® pins make replacement significantly faster and simpler, and Bondura also offers a dedicated tool to simplify the procedure further.
Cranes
bondura® expanding pins are installed in offshore marine cranes, tower cranes, bulk handling cranes, pipe-rack cranes and a wide range of other types.
For tower cranes specifically, Bondura has developed a two-part expanding pin solution that enables single-handed installation — reducing time on critical connections and improving safety during operation.
Winches
All winches are at risk of wear, particularly in difficult positions — and the larger the winch, the more there is to gain. bondura® expanding pins simplify both assembly and disassembly across all winch types.
The center pin in particular benefits significantly, making drum unit handling faster and less demanding.
